Venik massage (Platza techniques) has an overall calming effect on the body. For “venik” massage you can use the oak, birch, or maple bunches. First soften them in warm water.
Venik massage takes place in a sauna room set at a temperature of 70 C, is said to boost circulation and prevent premature aging of the skin. After the bath broom massage has finished you are supposed to immediately pour a bucket of cold water on yourself. This is best done with our cold shower bucket.
- Birch venik helps with muscle and joint pains. It perfectly cleans the skin, accelerates the healing of wounds and scratches.
- Oak venik makes a strong anti-inflammatory impact. The smell of oak venik creates a sedative effect and removes stress.
- Maple venik has a lot of tanning substances. It is used as a therapeutic agent with skin problems.
A correctly dried bath broom should have perfectly green leaves and the smell of balsamic oil. The smell should increase greatly after steaming the broom. Venik has to be properly prepared before use. It has to be soaked for 20 minutes in warm water, then for about 10 in hot until the leaves become soft.
Good venik could last you several times, but if it lost a lot of leaves and has a lot of bare ends, it is time to throw it away.
