Professional oak barrel is made by French technology from chopped oak staves of high quality, dried outdoors. The wine barrel is fired inside and sharpened on the outside. Hoops are made of galvanized strip.
The oak used in the production of this barrel is characterized by its vanilla aromas and the tenderness of tannins.
Wood staves are made by splitting logs – this is the only way to keep the long oak fibers intact, which ensures the barrel is sealed. The wood staves is aged for several years in the fresh air.
The sun and rain are good for the barrel. The stave dries naturally and becomes more durable.
The density of the annual rings of the oak is important. An oak with rare annual rings, which grows on rich soils, slowly and for a long time gives its taste to beverages, and each year of aging enriches their aroma.
The barrel is supplied with a wood moisture content of about 12.5%.
Does not require lengthy preparation.
